There is a certain paradoxical nature to “That’s What Makes You Beautiful.” Specifically in the second part of the chorus.

That what makes you beautifulSo. He is trying to convince this girl she is beautiful. Because she doesn’t know she’s beautiful. And the thing that makes her beautiful, is that she doesn’t know she’s beautiful.
So if she knows she’s beautiful, won’t that take away an aspect of her beauty?? An important one, judging by it’s placement at the end of the chorus, and the end of the song itself. So why is he trying to convince her she’s beautiful if her not knowing is the thing that makes her beautiful?
Clearly the One Direction is a circular one.
